國人對於 SUV 的接受度可以說是大起大落。RAV4 因為來得太早死在沙灘上,而 CR-V 正好遇上週休二日的政策成為本田史上最賣的進口車,也是本田第一款因為進口的賣太好直接導入國產的例子。然而,隨著油價不斷攀升,SUV 市場又慢慢萎縮,2008 年油價新高點的時候,SUV 個個哀鴻遍野。但沒多久臺灣人又不知怎地把油價拋在一邊,加上 LUXGEN U7 的炒作之下,SUV 車款繼續在台灣站上市場要角。


 


第一代 Outlander 因為原裝進口加上外型太怪異,雖然有日本製造的光環,銷量比不上其他對手,所以中華在第二代 Outlander 以 3.0 測試市場水溫之後,毅然導入國產化,不過國產 Outlander 雖然在裕隆集團當中頂下 X-Trail 的空位,但面臨 CR-V 以及進口 RAV-4 的追擊,Outlander 始終展不出身手,只能區居第三。2010 年,原廠推出鯊魚頭的小改版本,考量到同樣是鯊魚頭的東南翼神表現差勁,中華決定自行修正外觀而不採用鯊魚頭造型,使臺灣又一款車擁有全球獨步外型。


 


或許對於熱血車迷來說,沒有鯊魚頭就是怪怪的,因此就有這樣的車主不惜重金,從日本引進原廠大包,讓原本斯文的台版 Outlander 搖身一變。

In 2010, MITSUBISHI made a facelift for Outlander II. Its exterior is refreshed by the big-mouth front grill as EVO X. This face is not accepted by Chinese through the poor selling of DongNan LANCER EX. CARTEC, Taiwan MITSUBISHI, decided refreshed Outlander II's exterior by themself. However, someone still likes the shark-face. And would like to import the ROADEST package from Japan for its Outlander II.)




 




 



這套大包在日本名為「Roadest」,主要的變化在於超誇張輪拱、兩旁霧燈裝飾以及水箱罩加了一道橫柵。或許車主覺得 Roadest 鋁圈不夠看,因此換上 FX35 的規格,如此一來,殺氣是比 FX35 要再高上一節。
